What is a feather flag?

What sizes do feather flags come in?
Three sizes: small at 2.5m erected height with a 2.2m printed flag, medium at 3.5m with a 3.2m flag, and large at 4.8m with a 4.2m flag. The flag sits 30cm above the ground on small and medium poles and 60cm on the large. Small suits pavements and indoor use, medium is the most popular all-rounder, and large gives maximum visibility at festivals and large outdoor sites.
How much do feather flags cost?
Single sided feather flags start at £101.50 Ex. VAT for the 2.5m size, £115 for the 3.5m and £129 for the 4.8m, each including the printed flag, fibreglass pole set and carry case. Double sided printing costs £125, £139 and £159 Ex. VAT respectively. Bases are sold separately and bulk discounts are available.
What is the difference between feather and teardrop flags?
Feather flags are taller with a curved top edge and a larger print area, so they suit logos and longer messages. Teardrop flags have a rounded drop shape that holds the fabric tighter, so the design stays fully visible in gusty conditions. Feather flags are the bigger seller; teardrops are popular where wind is constant or a compact look is wanted.
How windy is too windy for a feather flag?
Our fibreglass poles are rated to wind speeds of up to 45kph, the strongest rating on the market. In stronger winds we recommend taking flags down. For exposed or breezy locations choose a heavier base such as the 30L water base or 10kg metal plate, or use a ground spike on grass.
Which base do I need for my feather flag?
Use a cross base with a water bag for patios and hard standing, a ground spike for grass and soft ground, a 25L or 30L water base for windy or public locations, and a 10kg metal plate for indoor use or doorways where a low-profile base is safer.
How long does delivery take?
Standard turnaround is 7 to 10 working days from artwork approval. Express options are available on request if you have a deadline, so contact us before ordering and we will confirm your delivery date.
Can feather flags be printed on both sides?
Yes. Single sided flags show a mirrored image on the reverse, which works well for logos. Double sided flags have two printed layers with a blockout liner so your design reads correctly from both directions, ideal for roadside and forecourt positions.
How do I clean and store my feather flag?
Hand wash the fabric with water and a mild soap, let it dry fully, then store the flag and pole sections in the carry case supplied. Avoid leaving flags up in winds over 45kph or in severe weather and they will stay vibrant for seasons.
